   McKercher Industries Community Employment Service

  MRC’s Community Employment service helps adults with disabilities find supported employment in
  the community.

  Our employment service offers the following services to help adults with disabilities reach their
  employment goals:

  Career Planning   Job Development   Job Placement
  Evaluation of Goals   Interviews   Orientation
  Teams of support   Job Site Tours   Transportation
  Interest Identification   Employer Education   Work Supplies
  Job Seeking Skills   Work Explorations   Task Training
  Work Experiences     Employer Support

  We put people with disabilities to work in the following ways:

  • Individual Placements – the individual is placed in a position with on-going support from MRC staff.

  • Work Crews – groups of individuals supervised by MRC staff work at sites within the community.

  We have a working relationship with hundreds of employers in the Kalamazoo area including a
  diversified list of businesses including offices, manufacturing firms, restaurants, and retail stores.
