Leading by Example: Aaron Mentors New Crew Members

Learning new skills can be intimidating, especially when using unfamiliar tools in a new environment. Recently, one of our veteran crew members, Aaron, took the initiative to mentor three newer crew members as they learned to use a gas-powered weed trimmer. He patiently explained how to safely start and operate the equipment, demonstrated proper technique, and then encouraged each person to practice while offering guidance, tips, and positive reinforcement along the way. Aaron’s willingness to step into a leadership role not only helped build new skills and confidence but also strengthened the connections within the crew. This is a wonderful example of how peer-to-peer learning creates opportunities for growth, teamwork, and success for everyone involved.

“I already know how to do a lot of the work in the summer, but the winter stuff I want to learn about. Learn about snow removal and icing.” -Aaron
